About Jennian Homes:

Jennian Homes has a strategy to stay at the forefront of the residential construction industry with regards to all online platforms and a superior customer centric user experience.

The current Jennian Homes website was last updated in 2012. At the time it was considered to be the best in the market (it was also used as a best practice case study during a Marketing Association Brainy Breakfast), but has since been caught and possibly overtaken by some competitors.

The Challenge:

Jennian Homes plans to refresh the current site and wanted to ensure they meet users expectations and accounted for the change in users behavior with the rise in mobile traffic. To assist with direction and strategy regarding the upgrade, Jennian Homes needs to gain intelligence from end users to ensure the browser experience is optimised.

The Solution:

Catchi conducted a 6-week CRO project. One of the things we looked at was the Google Analytics data for the site. This offered great insights into site visitor behavior, how visitors were using the existing site, the areas they were getting stuck on, and the parts they really loved.

As part of the project Catchi also conducted user testing with potential clients and sent out surveys to past and existing client. Our User testing showed us how visitors browse through the website and in what way they try to find the information they are looking for. It also revealed what attracted users to both the Jennian site and several of their competitors; this yielded important insights into what learnings could be taken from other sites but also what direction not to go in. Finally, the customer surveys gave new insights into the parts of the Jennian experience actual customers had liked and wished had been highlighted more. It also provided us with important knowledge around how users perceive the site, what worked and what didn’t work and ultimately what information they are looking for.

The Outcome:

The insights from each area were compiled into a solid CRO Project Results Document. This report outlined a summary of our findings and a comprehensive, evidence based set of recommendations to take into the refresh project. The client described this outcome to us as invaluable and our project a highly recommended process for any company that is redesigning their website.
